RUNWAY254 AND WORLD YOUTH ALLIANCE SPONSORING THE 1ST S.A.F.E (STUDENT ART AND FASHION EXHIBITION)

If you live in this beautiful city under the sun better known as Nairobi, you know that these three months have been a never ending fashion week, that has outlived the definition a week. Speaking of Fashion week, kudos to Kenya’s very own Kaveke for rocking  London Fashion week. *cheek to cheek*

So given the postponement of the Spanking September edition I thought Runway254 will be taking the back banner, observing and waving as things fly by in the never ending fashion week. And just as that thought was sinking, I spot (and get spotted) by two amazing offers in all the invitation, requests and proposals that the season has to offer...I guess things always work themselves out after all.

Passion Magazine
Before I spill, I will do a recap; If you grabbed a copy of this month’s Passion Magazine, I bet you have seen my girls’ designs splashed on it; yap yap Earth and Vanilla by Nkatha and Enzi designs by Carol Tichie, Accesorized by Zuhura, Iquira and Sheci Denim all who were part of our August edition...me is a proud mama; of course loads of thanks to our stylist the lovely Namnyak who looks uber amazing on the Nairobi Fashion Market billboard on Ngong Rd, the awesome designers for the stitches, not forgetting our lovely models, Sally and Maureen who are also Team Runway254...woot woot

Back to Business
Runway254 is all about promoting upcoming designers both in fashion and jewelry through all possible platforms, the Runway event is one of them, the Passion magazine spread is another and for our models, a few have attended auditions and gotten signed into agencies and other events, I must say we are slowly but definitely getting there...the world is our runway and we are set to conquer every inch of it. So as I was shuffling through my mail, weighing and outweighing, SAFE; Students Art and Fashion Exhibition popped, I think I fell in love because their objective resounded ours, only that they deal with students. They aim at having an annual event and after meeting their representative, Runway254 has the privilege to sponsor and nurture this event.  They have an event planned next Saturday 8th October so you all can go for Fashion Market earlier then come show love to upcoming talent from 3p at World Youth Alliance, Kiambere Road, Upper Hill.

Sponsorship
Fashion design students will be showcasing a three to five piece collection with a theme. Runway254 is not organizing this event nor is it hosting it but it will be coming in as a sponsor. The other sponsor is World Youth Alliance is a global coalition of young people committed to promoting the dignity of the person and building solidarity among the youth from developed and developing countries. Together, we are providing an enabling environment for the students to showcase and exhibit their work.

Make a point of joining the SAFE crew at World Youth Alliance and promote upcoming fashion designers.
